Well this methods actually installs Linux
inside a virtual disk… and creates a boot option for the Linux in the windows boot-loader. This enables the independent complete usage of Linux OS. The only
problem with this type of installation is a slightly reduction in disk performance,
but it is not noticeable. Personally i do not recommend this method, because it has many problem and not stable. And you will lack the power of GRUB boot loader.
Before we start I assume you have enough disk space for the Linux HDD, and a working Linux ISO or CD Image is ready, i`l be using Linux
Mint here. If you don’t have one you can get one from any of its websites. For Linux
Mint here is the link : "LINK"
OK, Now as
a 1st step of course insert
the Ubuntu CD into the CD/DVD drive or if u are using the ISO image, then mount
the image using any CD image mounter (Eg: ALCOHOL 52%).
After the Disk is inserted a auto-play will appear
asking to run mint4win(WUBI-Modified). If so you can choose it or you can
browse the disk and run the WUBI program.
Now a new window will come choose “Install inside
Windows” from that.
Now it will ask for some details Fill as necessary. A
username and password is must and should be provided. You can where to install
Linux Mint and the size of the partition.
And select Install. It will start the installation
process, after completion it will ask for reboot. Choose reboot now and Finish.
After the reboot it will complete the installation
from there...
